UPDATE
Oral argument was presented in our case
(1108 Ariola LLC, Et Al. v, Chris Jones, Et Al.
Case No.
1D10-2050) on February 15, 2011 at the First District Court of Appeal in
Tallahassee. The judges assigned to the case William Van
Nortwick, Bradford Thomas, and Simone Marstiller seemed prepared for the
hearing and asked questions of the attorneys representing each side.

The Santa Rosa County case known as
“Accardo v. Brown” (Case Number 1D10-4072) involves the taxation of leasehold land on Navarre Beach. On May 7, 2010 Judge Gary Bergosh ruled
against the Navarre Beach leaseholders.
They are now being taxed on the land
as well as the improvements. That decision has been appealed.
Oral arguments in Accardo v. Brown are
scheduled for Thursday, March 17th at 9 am EST at the First District
Court of Appeal in Tallahassee. The
judges assigned to this case are James Wolf, Marguerite Davis and Philip
Padovano.
Oral arguments are limited to 20 minutes
per side.
