NOTICE TO CURRENT PLAINTIFFS

November 3, 2011

On November 2nd an Important Memorandum was mailed to current plaintiffs in the Pensacola Beach Tax Litigation challenging the taxes on residential improvements.  The Florida Supreme Court will be asked to take jurisdiction of this case known as 1108 Ariola v. Jones.

This memorandum includes a Colored Form with information specific to the parcel you have in this litigation.  This form must be returned with the payment indicated no later than Nov. 23, 2011.

Those plaintiffs that make the payment and return the form by the deadline will be named as plaintiffs in the 2011 case on improvements (we must refile every tax year) and a separate 2011 lawsuit to be filed by Shell, Fleming, Davis & Menge contesting the taxation of the land.

This memorandum and return form were sent to plaintiffs, who according to our records still had leasehold interest in 2011.  Some of these properties no longer have improvements, but in 2011 are also being taxed on the land.  Anyone who has sold their leasehold will still be interested in the outcome of the case on improvements.  Everyone is directed to the Frequently Asked Questions on the home page of this web site for more information.

This mailing went out on November 2nd.  If you do not receive it in a timely manner, please contact beachtaxes@gmail.com    ALWAYS include your name, beach address and the account number from your tax bill 17-xxxx-xxx in any email.
