ORDER
ISSUED BY JUDGE
We received word this
morning (December 21, 2009) that Judge Michael Jones has issued an order in our
case. This ruling came out late on
Friday, December 18th.
The judge ruled that all
plaintiffs that were not named parties in the original Bell v. Bryan litigation
(7 individuals), are “equitable owners of the leasehold improvements on their
Santa Rosa Island properties and as such are subject to taxation at the ad
valorem rate.
This is obviously not
the ruling we hoped for. Plaintiffs in
this law suit can expect to hear more details on the ruling and future action
in the very near future.
